Dell, joined by other corporate and nonprofit groups working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, has announced the planting of some 50,000 tree seedlings to reforest pastureland in an effort to rebuild animal habitat, combat global climate change and enhance public recreation areas.  

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has listed Dell as No. 31 on its list of Green Power Partners among the Fortune 500 companies in the U.S.

The EPA list ranks the top companies for purchasing green power generated from renewable resources such as solar, wind and biogas.
 

Dell will host a town hall session for solution providers Feb. 5 to address concerns around its recent acquisition of EqualLogic or the future of their merging channel programs. 

Laura Bosworth, director of Dell's Worldwide Customer Experience, recently shared her thoughts regarding the company’s customer experience achievements in FY08 and outlined what employees and management can do to continue to improve the customer experience in FY09.

Speculation is mounting that Google is plotting the launch of a mobile phone in partnership with Dell. Senior industry sources claim the two companies will reveal their plans at next month’s 3GSM telecoms conference in Barcelona.

Neither Dell nor Google is commenting on the speculation. 


In recent years, the commercials debuted during the Super Bowl (the championship game for American football) have generated as much pre-game buzz as the game itself. This year, Dell is airing an ad during the Super Bowl for the first time.
