Dell News - January 31 2008Dell shut down all kiosks in US

Dell said Wednesday that it will close its 140 shopping mall kiosks in the United States as it shifts more energy to its partnerships with large retail chains such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Staples and Guitar Center.

When Dell launched the XPS M1330 last June, you could almost hear the applause from all those who doubted the company could turn the XPS line into something luxurious.

It was – and is – a laptop that represents the latest in cutting-edge design and processing technology. Now, the Dell XPS M1530 has joined the XPS family and is ideal for those who fancy components that scream luxury.

After announcing plans to work with solution providers last year, Dell recently rolled out a formal channel program, planning to inject its business with a shot of VAR adrenaline. It will also provide the answer to one important question:

Recently Dell declared its intention to be the "greenest technology company on the planet." To execute its strategy the company has committed to a collaborative effort and partnerships with suppliers, customers and even competitors to achieve its goals.
